The November Marathon run which was sponsored by Rafiki Credit Ltd, was held on Sunday 2nd November 2008 where a total of one hundred and sixty- five (165) runners participated. The Guest of honor during the prize giving ceremony was Hon Njeru Gitahe (Assistant Minister). Mr. Suresh Kantaria (Chairman Jaribu Credit Ltd), Mr. Simon Mithamo (Second Vice Chairman) and Mr. Maina Muchiri (Managing Director Super freight Ltd) were also in attendance. The overall winner in the men’s 15 km category Robert Kipkemboi (49:14:00) was awarded a motorbike worth Kshs 65,000 while Hellen Mugo was awarded motorized bicycle worh Kshs 17,000/= after wining the ladies category with a time of 59:22:00.The Sports Convenor Mr. Daniel Gatama sincerely thanked Mr. Simon Mithamo (Second Vice Chairman) for facilitating the sponsorship and the Management for the good organization.
